Rx for Leadership: 3 Doses of Inspiration, By Tamara Lovi

Join us each month for a (short) new series from Women Leaders in Pharma (WLP) – which we are calling Rx for Leadership: 3 Doses of Inspiration – where we ask WLP leaders to answer three rapid-fire questions. 

First up is Tamara Lovi, a marketing leader who is passionate about collaborating to challenge the status quo, and is a founding member of WLP. 

What inspires me is … my parents who came to Canada and worked hard to build a life for us. My Dad was raised by World War II concentration camp survivors, and while we don’t talk much about it, my family’s ability to thrive despite the unthinkable gives me the motivation to achieve my dreams.

A piece of advice I would give my younger self starting out in this industry is … believe in yourself. And surround yourself with those people who empower and encourage you. 

I think women should join WLP because … to show up for other people in our lives – family, friends, colleagues – we first need to show up for ourselves. And to me, WLP is a form of self-care where women lift each other up and support one another.
